Participants and registration

Share a registration link and approve sign-ups

A registration link lets anyone ask for a place. Nobody is added to your participant list until an owner, administrator or programme manager approves them; facilitators cannot. Registering never checks anyone in.

  • 5 minutes
  • Owner, administrator or programme manager
  • Available on the Business plan and above.
  1. Turn the link on

Open the event, go to Registration and, under Who gets in, choose I review every sign-up. Save the registration settings.

  2. Set places and dates

Optionally set the number of Places (later sign-ups join a waiting list) and when Sign-ups close. By default the link closes at the end of the event.

  3. Choose the questions

Name, email and consent are always asked. Choose whether to ask for a phone number, organization and group, and add up to two questions of your own, such as job title. If participants check in with their phone number, it is always required.

  4. Share the link

Copy the link, or download the Poster PDF with its QR code. This is not the check-in code: never show it in the room as a way to take attendance.

  5. Review sign-ups

New sign-ups appear under Sign-ups, To review, with warnings such as Same name as registered participant, Phone number already belongs to someone else, Filled in on a team member's phone or many sign-ups from the same network. You also get an email when sign-ups are waiting.

  6. Approve, waitlist or decline

Tick people and choose Approve selected, Move to waiting list or Decline selected. Approved people are added to your participants and emailed their check-in details. To approve people you already know, open Approve by pasting a list of emails.
